Planned to go birding today however the viz was down to 100mts in Blowing dust, good grief!!
Hopefully tomoro will be better.
Only birds seen today Black winged stilts and Crested Lark.

Stroppyjock, keep up the good work. I'll be closely following your observations. I never got to Basrah in my travels. Migration of the landbirds should get underway soon. I am slowly working on a field checklist for Iraq and will send it to you when I have it done.
